Editorial policy
Coastal Design Review aims to make design legible without flattening the details that make a place distinct. Our editorial choices favour clear explanations, careful language and a visible separation between editorial work and paid collaboration.
Accuracy and care
We check names, descriptions and factual statements before publication and make clear when a point is interpretation rather than established fact. Where a subject is uncertain or contested, we avoid presenting one reading as settled. We do not invent sources, expertise or first-hand visits.
Independence
Editorial decisions are made for reader interest and relevance to coastal design. A commercial relationship does not guarantee coverage, praise or a particular conclusion. Partner material is kept distinct from independent editorial coverage.
Corrections
If you spot a factual error, write through the Contact page and identify the article and the issue. We review correction requests and, when a change is warranted, correct the text clearly and proportionately.
Paid material and illustrations
Sponsored articles, partner features and paid placements are identified plainly where they appear. Illustrations may be AI-generated; when that is the case, they are labelled so readers can distinguish illustration from documentary imagery.
